036: Really love how this little detail came together - it started as a minor miscalculation when the footers for the steel post were placed by the subcontractor a bit too far from the stair, but we ended up working out an interesting way for the handrail to return back to the post anyway. Beautiful steelwork all the way around by Todd Rosenbaum Metalworks.

063: Upon fully demolishing the ceiling at our apartment renovation in Harlem, we found a series of large cracks in the existing heavy timber joists. The cracks tended to be in locations where there was a prior opening for a mechanical chaise, or a chimney, to the floor above.
